Enchant started about 8 pm, right on time!! That's hard to believe but it's true! I was there with 3 friends. We were almost up to the front during the Enchant show.
Enchant played songs on all 3 albums (no Below Zero). They played "Acquaintance" (from the first album) for the first time live. Enchant put on an excellent show but it was just not as long as their first show in Fremont because they were an opening band tonight. They were still awesome especially Ted, the lead singer.
Marillion startd about 9.30 pm. I went up to the front row (just myself) because I could not see anything from where I was before.
Steve Rothery looked WAY heavy but his palying was excellent. I liked it when he played the 12 string guitar on Man Of 1,000 Faces. Mark Kelly was in a tie-dyy t-shirt and leather pants...hmmm....that made he look so young.
Hogarth's voice was definitely awesome when he sang all songs in his period, but not for Fish period. I'm not biased but it just sounded totally different when you hear it from Fish. You know what I mean? Feeling!
There was some problem with the bass many times that pissed Pete Trewavas off. But he still played it even though there was no bass sound during some song. Poor Pete!
They had the air conditioning during the Marillion show bercause it was so hot in there. All fans did enjoy with both shows. They all were too happy when Marillion played songs in Fish era.......me too!
I bought only "Time Lost" by Enchant and The Wishing Tree cds at the show. All Marillion t-shirts were sold out. That was unbelievable!
The setlist: (not in order because I can't recall every song)
ENCORE
I wasn't sure that they play "Dry Land" or not, sorry. i might forget some song that was because I WAS sick before the show. Had bad migraines and vomited 3 times.
I talked to all members of Enchant after the show and had all of them to sign on the "Time Lost" cd for me. They all were nice and friendly to everyone. I talked to Ted (singer) about the next show of the band, he said it would be in October (for new stuff) but did not know yet where. If they played in SF I would definitely go again!
