We arrived at the show pretty early. It said on the ticket that the show would start at 9 pm. We were there since 6.30 pm. We also got lost on the way driving there because none of us has been has ever been to Palo Alto. There were a lot of people were in line already especially all the Bay Area jammers.
Big Wreck started pretty early around 8.30 pm. Their music did not do anything to me. It's kinda poppy+alternacrap but their guitarist was quite good. Forget it for the vocals. They were poor! Big Wreak is a band in the big record company, Elecktra. People seemed to enjoy their show. They played about 45 mins, then left the stage.
People were yelling DREAM THEATER DREAM THEATER DREAM THEATER......but we had to wait until 10 pm to see them. They had to reset the stage. DT had a big set of drums. I got up to the front when DT played.
They started with "Line in the sand" and a couple songs from the new album "Falling into infinity", pull me under (my fav song), sacred....they played a lot! Everybody in the band was so good especially Mike Portnoy, he threw up all his energy when he played. He was more than awesome. You will have a lot of fun just seeing his playing. He is kinda funy though. John Myung, showed playing stick (not much), 5-string, 6-string and 7-string basses. Derek was pretty good too but I prefer to see Kevin Moore playing with the band better. But that will never happen. No need to say how good John Petrucci was. They all were talent musicians, so powerfull. They really concentrated on music while they were playing.
One thing that I noticed is James LaBrie seemed to get really tired after he sang 6-7 songs because they just had the show in LA the night before.
ENCORE
and they also did medley songs from every album and continued with Master of Puppets by Matallice. This was so good.
The show was about more than 2 hours. Pretty long and they did not stop a bit.
There were some t-shirts for sale at the show. But I did not by any.
All Enchant members except the bass player were at the show. My friend said that Terry Bozzio was at the show in LA on Nov 11. Ah..I could have been there.
